Business Degrees - What Career Options Are Available?

If you are considering going to college to earn your business degree, you may be wondering what career options are available after you graduate. A career in business can be extremely varied just like the business world itself. The careers open to you will likely depend on the level of degree you obtain.



With an associate's degree, you can work in most any industry. Some job titles include administrator, sales clerk, accounting clerk, and assistant manager, just to name a few. These are basic, entry level positions.



A bachelor's degree in business is one of the most popular with incoming students. Graduates are qualified to work in a variety of industries and environments such as, finance, hospitality, tourism, administration, and government. They hold job titles like financial analyst, accounting manager, and human resources manager.



In order to take on roles of greater responsibility within a company, you will likely need to obtain your master's or MBA. This degree generally qualifies you for various senior manager, executive, and supervisory positions. Some job titles include consultant, commercial banker, investment manager, financial planner, and money manager.



With a doctorate degree, you will be qualified for those careers at the top of the business and academic world. For those wishing to take the academic path, a doctorate qualifies you for university teaching and dean positions. Also, in the business world, those with a doctorate are looked at as the senior consultants and leaders.



Having a career in business is challenging with each day being different from the previous. Deciding which career path is right for you will depending on your own personal career aspirations.
