Colleges and universities across the country this year has begun to provide students with new educational opportunities through additional programs at undergraduate level and master degree. Through a new articulation agreement between the two institutions as well, students who earn an associate degree from a technical school can save money when moving to a Bachelor's degree at another institution. New master's degree programs include:
ITT Technical Institute has added the associate's degree programs in mobile communications technology, software development technology. A new ITT Tech degree in project management is designed to provide students with the skills to help them initiate and plan projects, be sure to meet projects between time and budget requirements and everything. A bachelor's degree in project management is available online as well as on campus. New doctoral programs online of ITT Tech are associate degrees in management information systems, computer forensics, construction technology, web design, and paralegal studies.
Kaplan University has added several new degree and certificate programs online. They include master's degrees in public administration, education, educational technology, homeland security, criminal justice, legal studies, environmental policy and emergency management. What's new with Kaplan University is a leadership specialization for the Master in management; an area of focus management career information systems for its four-year degree in information technology; and a help desk administration area career focus for the associate degree in information technology. New professional certificates of Kaplan University-more than 15 of them-include graduate certificates in accounting, human resources, project management, information security and, in Canada, new initiatives for entrepreneurship and growth ventures.
Kendall College in Chicago, Illinois, has added new options of concentration for students seeking a degree in the business of the institution. School of the college of business is now offering these degrees with concentrations in psychology and management of small businesses. Beginning in the fall of 2010, Kendall College was scheduled to begin offering an option of concentration of infant nutrition for his four-year degree in early childhood education. The establishment of this year also began offering bilingual education and English as a second language for endorsements early child educators. In addition to business and early childhood education, Kendall College provides degree in culinary arts and hospitality management. Courses are offered online and on campus.
Westwood College, Denver, Colorado, has formed an agreement with San Jacinto College, whereby students from San Jacinto College who complete the associate's degree programs qualifier may transfer to Westwood College as a junior in a Bachelor's degree program. San Jacinto College is also accept credits from students who earned at Westwood College at one point or another and want to complete their associate's degree programs. San Jacinto College offers associate degrees online and on campus. Bachelor's degree programs typically take four years to complete, but Bachelor's degree programs at Westwood College take three years. Earlier this year, Westwood College announced that it had doubled the offering degree programs at its campus of Texas in Dallas and Fort Worth. New master's degree programs in these campus include bachelor's degrees in computer forensics; security of systems; accounting and financial management; health management; management and marketing management.
Rasmussen College in October began offering bachelor's degrees in game and simulation programming, as well as digital design and animation. The new bachelor's degrees are offered at 14 campuses by Rasmussen and through online courses. In January, Rasmussen College begins offering a new associate degree in nursing professional. In January, Rasmussen College also plans to begin offering a Leadership Academy online at no cost, helps students identify and enhance their leadership skills, interpersonal and professional. Rasmussen College-latest opening campus, located in Tampa, Florida this fall began offering associate degrees in management information systems and multimedia technologies. Thanks to an agreement reached in October, students at Fox Valley Technical College can now transfer all their claims of Rasmussen College associate degree and receive a 10% discount on lessons when they enroll in Bachelor's degree programs at Rasmussen within one year after he graduated from Fox Valley.
Southern University for fall 2010 began offering a Bachelor's degree in nursing at a new College of Nursing in Richmond, Virginia. The institution, with branches throughout the country, this year also expanded its physical presence in Florida and Michigan, opening and paying services in the Detroit metropolitan area of Novi and West Palm Beach. The Novi campus offers bachelor's degrees in criminal justice, business administration and healthcare management degrees and masters in business administration and professional advice. The campus of West Palm Beach offers associate degrees in information technology, paralegal studies, physical therapist assisting and business administration; degree in business administration, information technology, healthcare management and administration, health science, legal studies, criminal justice, psychology and nursing care; Master in business administration and professional advice; and an RN to BSN degree completion for nurses.
